Job Description

What you’ll work on

  • Work closely with product and functional leads to understand the details of each product offering to perform accurate and timely compliance testing and risk assessments
  • Evaluate products, geographies, customers, and other stakeholders for compliance risks
  • Provide subject matter expertise with regard to compliance testing and risk assessments to other areas of compliance as needed
  • Develop, maintain, and execute the annual compliance risk assessment and testing schedule
  • Develop and update compliance risk taxonomies and key risk indicators based on the risk assessments and testing performed
  • Draft, issue and present compliance testing reports and findings for key internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop remediation programs and corrective action plans
  • Track and validate remediations and corrective actions of findings that were identified during the compliance testing or risk assessments conducted.

What you’ll bring to Circle

  • 6+ years of hands-on compliance, BSA/AML, and/or audit experience in the financial services or technology sector
  • Technical knowledge and experience in the development, testing, and reporting of risk assessments and risk controls
  • Subject matter expertise in one of Circle’s key compliance areas (Regulatory compliance, AML, operational risk) at a leading financial services or technology firm
  • Experience independently performing compliance testing and risk assessments across multiple product lines and geographies
  • Knowledge of risk management processes and systems, and how to evaluate aggregate and residual risks and assess controls
  • Knowledge of and ability to identify, monitor, and report on key risk indicators across multiple products
  • Understanding of audit processes, methodologies and reporting
  • Desire to work closely with product and functional teams to identify weaknesses in the program and drive remediation
  • Experience in an exchange, RegTech or Fintech company preferred
  • Flexibility to quickly react to changing demands and pivoting product structures, based on changing regulations and product team requests.
